I am sure many of you have been looking through an Avon Brochure for perfume wondering how do I pick the right one.  How do I know which fragrance is right for me?  If you are like me you love testing the scented scratch off pages to see if that scent could be "the one".  For me that helps, but what about the Avon scents that you cannot test?

Cyber Monday At Avon - Shop Secure

• Do always keep your security software updated.  I know it can be pricey sometimes, but there are often good savings and deals at Office Depot and Office Max.  
• Do use a credit and not a debit card when buying online.  This is one thing my husband always told me when I bought online.  Using a credit card will allow you to dispute the charges if necessary and possibly temporarily without payment while the creditor investigates the problem.
• Do keep a record of your purchases wither by email or printing them.  I usually email a copy to myself for my records.  
• Do be sure the site you are using is secure and have the "https" in the URL in the page that asks for your credit card information.  The "s" ensures your safety.  On some sites you might also see a  on the address bar or on the bottom right corner of the webpage.

My Scarecrow For Just One Dollar

Today I was shopping at Deals for a few last minute items(seems like everything I do is last minute) for my Pampered Chef party I am hosting tomorrow night.  I was overwhelmed with all the Halloween and Fall decoration and so I decided to take a few moments to look.

The large scarecrows caught my eyes.  My daughter, Grace had been telling how she wanting one for our yard.  These scarecrows were in all different bright, fun colors.  I decided I would get one.  I looked closer at the price and it said $1.00.  I was quite shocked.  I honestly stood there for several minutes looking to make sure I wasn't wrong.  They seemed sturdy and what an awesome find!

I picked the one with the purple bow for my daughter, finished my shopping and headed up to check out.  As I heard my total I though something didn't add up.  I questioned the prices and the cashier tells me, 'Oh yes they are marked $1.00 over there, but they are really $5.00.  Do you want me to call a manger?  Did you want to pay the $5.00 or just $1.00?"

I thought nicely to myself, Gee...let me think do I want to pay more or less?  I think today I will go with the $1.00...Thanks so much!

Then the guy behind me just HAD to put his two scents in.  "They really are worth $5.00.  They are charging $8.00 at Wal-Mart."

Long story short I got my scarecrow for $1.00 and I can't wait for my sweet Grace to see him OR her.  : )

It is that time of year again.  Time to to that holiday shopping that we all love.  Time to buy our friends, family and those special people a gift to show our love and appreciation.  For our family it is also the time to celebrate the birth of Christ.  Christmas is just not about giving and receiving gifts.  It is about The Christmas Story.  It is about the birth of Christ.  It is about spending time with our family and friends and being thankful for what we have and who we have to share it with.  Christmas is such a beautiful, magical time of the year.
