I Could Be 20lbs. Lighter If I Didn't Snack!

Okay, okay maybe not 20 lbs. lighter but I would love to see how much weight I could loose it I could STOP MY LATE NIGHT SNACKING!

I am sure we are all guilty to some degree of sneaking a snack before bed.  Having that after dinner meal, if that is even what they are called.  I honestly wish I could get through an entire week without snacking after supper.  I know I CAN do it...I just have chosen NOT to do it.

For instance, when we go on vacation I actually loose weight.  Why?  Because I do not have access to food like I do at home.  Anytime I am away from home on vacation or visiting friends or family I loose at least 1 or 2 pounds.  If only I had better control at home.

I know one quick and easy fix would be for me to go to bed at 9pm.  Well, I know that will never happen.  Scratch that...it's just now who I am.  Hoot..Hoot I am a night owl.  I believe I have 2 choices.

  1. Put a lock on the pantry and refrigerator. (Yeah...like that's going to happen.  NEXT!)
  2. GET SOME DAMN WILLPOWER!!  (Okay...this I can try?)
I mean seriously!!  How hard can it be to just not snack?!?  Can you?  Take tonight for instance.  I felt it was necessary to have a few chili cheese chips with cheese.  Yes, you heard me correct.  I don't do the light snacks.  I go full throttle and hit it hard.

I guess one good thing I can take from this is I don't gain any weight.  Weight gain or not it is not healthy to eat so late, plus I do not want my daughter thinking it is "okay" to snack late at night all the time.  Makes me think even more what if....What if I stopped the snacking?  Would I loose a few?  Would I feel better in the morning?  I think I will honestly give it a try.

I don't want to say the ole' "Oh, I will start it next week."  So...I am going to start tomorrow.  No more late night snacking for me!  Damn...I am nervous.  Wish me luck!!

Having a Mexican Fiesta? Try some Burrito Bandits

Last night I had my Pampered Chef party.  It was a blast and I had a great turn out.  Thanks to all the great ladies that either came or ordered through me online.  You are all awesome!!  The party closes tonight, so if there are any last minute orders please let me know.

It was a Mexican theme and so I decided to make my delicious, never fail and oh so naughty Burrito Bandits.  I have never came across anyone who didn't like these.  I have made these for many different types of parties and they are always a hit.  Plus, you can change them to what you or your guests would prefer.

Burrito Bandits
1 -8oz. pkg. cream cheese (soften)
3/4 cup sour cream
1 - small bunch of green onions
4 oz. black olives
3T Mayo
3/4 cup - 1 cup shredded cheese
1/2 -3/4 cup salsa

Mix all together.  Spread on tortilla.  Makes 8 - 10 burritos.  Best when chilled overnight before cutting.

I also have added green olives and jalapenos.

Make sure all the cream cheese is mixed in.

Spread on each tortilla then roll-up and place in the refrigerator overnight.

Cut into bite size pieces after they have set up in the refrigerator overnight.

Enjoy!!

Ranch Oyster Crackers

As I sit here trying to get motivated to do a little work I start to crave something.  Don't you hate that when your up late, you get hungry and you don't know what your hungry for?  Those are the times you probably should be eating.  I did good, this time.  I found Oyster crackers.  Yum!!  What a yummy little snack.  I like to break them down the middle with my teeth.  : )  Always have done that since a kid.  Good times.

Anyway, for some reason I could not think of how to spell oyster.  Was it oaster or oyster.  Trust me it was tricky.  After I googled it, yes I googled it I found this yummy recipe.

What do you think?  I think it sounds pretty good and easy.  I wan to try it.

1/4 cup vegetable oil
